7D NYC

So I'm back. And the blog has been slightly revamped now that I have the 7D. Its been a busy few weeks with my parents visit  and the next few weeks (my last in Montreal) will also be busy with more visits from friends and family.  Can't wait!

So here, a small sample of the photos I took in New York. It wasn't until I came home and looked at them that I realized that a lot of them kindof looked exactly the same. I got hooked on the juxtaposition of old-historical representations and modern metropolitan objects and buildings. Same with the blooms on the trees. They made the city so beautiful.

Glowing tree.

No sky in sight, walls as far as the eye can see.
Beautiful in a way but the claustrophobia eventually gets you.

Chinatown in a rosy post-rain glow

Nothing distinguishes this as a photo taken in New York City more than the yellow taxi
...and the power cul-de-sac hailing one on the bottom right.

Rain on 30 Rock

Cemetery at Trinity Church, just a hundred feet away from ground zero. These are real tomb stones of men, women and children who died in the 1700s. Amazing to see these and to think of them on 9/11

Cranes building the 9/11 memorial

The most beautiful building I have ever seen.

A Franco-Manitoban in New York.

My night out with Elizabeth and Tim Hasselbeck.

...and Baba Walters

Apartments of the rich and famous on the upper east side.

So so many beautiful cathedrals.

Seeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time

My mom, grad dress shopping at Macy's. She will never stop grad dress shopping.

The Wookeys in Hoboken NJ-SUCH a pretty little town by the way.

Carlo's!

Magic hour at The Plaza Hotel

Central Park

Empire State building in the back

I heart NY. Would live here in a second!
